times revelation: Unlike most days the tall, well built form was stepping into the Diner dressed in a rather immaculate three piece suit. Charcoal gray jacket and slacks with a pair of polished black shoes and a cream colored silk shirt with a gunmetal gray tie. Mirror lensed black Oakley shades covered those bright, vivid eyes of his. Steps were rather silent as he moved through the place to find himself a decent seat at a table near the back. Once lowered into a chair the buttons on that jacket would be unfastened, more for comfort than any real purpose.
Xavier Darnai: Being back in Boston was a mixed sort of blessing. Glad to be in what was his home port for the time being, but disappointed that this was his home port, he made his way down the street towards the diner while rubbing at the bridge of his nose. The dealings in Paris had been... stressful. Regardless, he was done with them and that meant one less thing on his already over-crowded plate and that never hurt. Slipping in through the front door of the diner, he gave a nod to Natasha at the hostess station before moving on to the common eating area for a table. Waving off the Daily Specials menu, he dropped his hand but raised a brow as he noticed someone in the table he would
typically acquire. The briefest of twitches in his left eye accompanied the adjustment of his path, instead selecting a table towards the middle of the group, one facing the window with his back to the walkway leading to the back bar and private booths. Bandaged fingers toyed idly with his lighter as he procured a cigarette, snapping it to life and watching the fire dance as he took that first hit. Quickly shutting the worn nickel flip-top with the red star on the side, he set it on the table and reached for an ash tray with his right, pulling it closer while he exhaled.
times revelation: Ah, the man of the hour arrives! Leaning back in the seat one foot would be crossed over the other so that ankles touched. Head tilted faintly and those sunglasses were never removed from his eyes. "Hello Xavier." Mingled accents of German and Greek clashed and twisted but didn't seem to sound in the least bit odd or strained. "It's been awhile since I've seen you. Still doing well I expect." A menu was brought over and he'd take it with a polite smile and soft spoken thanks. Settling it on the table top he'd use one hand to tap fingertips against the table, almost like he was counting something down.
Xavier Darnai: He paused for a moment, turning his head to look at the voice of the man that called him out by name. The twitch was there again as he took another hit off the cigarette, exhaling around him slowly. Lifting himself out of the chair again, he took his lighter and moved to his usual table, taking a seat and staring at the man in the suit. "You're going to have to be more specific than that." Claiming the new ash tray, he took another hit, resting his bandaged hand on the table while fingers lightly drummed against the table cloth.
AnaliesesMemory: That man was going to get it. It was not often that she received a text that gave her enough stubborn annoyance to pack a bag and board a bus to the upper united states after someone she merely just met. The man played the woman like a romance story. Having gotten off the bus a few hours prior and already booked herself a cheap hotel, Liesa arrived at the diner with little clue on what drove her to take such a long trip. She felt underdressed or maybe that was overdressed in her simple lavender dress that was hemmed close to her waist to provide a larger skirt despite the over all length being only mid thigh. Ether way, The dress showed off her short stature's long legs and the pair of golden roman sandal with ribbons etching across her skin up to her calf. The phone with the infamous text was held in her palm as she texted with one hand and tucked wild shoulder length fair curls behind her left ear. - -
times revelation: As Xavier got up and moved over to the table to join him he'd frown, brows creasing faintly. "Hmm...Maybe you've never met me? Ah well, thought you had." Left hand rose and hooked tip of index finger in the center piece. Tugging those Oakley's down to reveal gleaming eyes he'd give a grin. "I believe you knew my parents." The same hand that had been used to lower the shades was extended towards him. "Karden Quistraih." That opposite hand which had been counting down with finger taps against the table stopped and pointed towards the door. Knew she'd be there. Hey, she had started the game, he was just playing a long and intent on winning.
Xavier Darnai: Though there were very few people who truly knew him, it was hard for any of them to say that he had a terrible poker face. The man simply did not have many tells when it came to most things. Certain subjects, however, needed no bluffing. When the man in the suit mentioned the name, there was a deadpan stare while he set his jaw, lifting his cigarette to take another deep hit off of it. "...bloody magic." Rust red eyes bounced around the room as he noticed the point, spotting the woman coming in through one or two reflections considering his back was to the door no thanks to the smug bastard in front of him. Turning his head towards the path of the waitress, he reached out and gave a quick flagging pair of fingers to get her attention. "Bottle of the twelve year Glenfiddich." Sitting back in the chair again, he looked to the boy. "What do you want."
AnaliesesMemory: Despite having planned the entire bus ride down on accordance to light his ass up, She found words were hard to come by once those mix matched eyes found the man on time at the diner. She stayed still by the door for a few moments deciding how to go about approaching the table despite Karden having already seen her. A roaming seating waiter spurred her into moving by asking if she needed a place to sit. Liesa shook her head and moved forward, around tables, past people, with a slow intent to claim a seat with Karden. He did after all text her this place's address. "Karden.." She spoke in a sing-song voice as she stopped to the side of their table.
times revelation: Seeing the jaw clench and then that comment only got a chuckle out of the man. "Magic? No. Afraid not. Though the same could almost be said for you." Using one hand to gesture with fingertips to his bandaged arm and side. "Want? Nothing really. I'm just here to look around so to speak." Hearing his name he'd look up at Liese and smirk. "Well hello Madame Lateness. Do have a seat." Pushing his chair back he'd stand and lean to pull out the one at the side of the table. He didn't offer introductions because he wasn't certain Xavier wanted his name spewed around like some drunk puking after a night of binge drinking.
Xavier Darnai: "Don't be glib with me, I know how old you are." The intel broker eyed Karden over once or twice as he tried to pass off some vague allusion to the differences between Xavier's hand and the nature of his own state of being. Xavier was not buying it. "Congratulations, you've found the place. The befstroganov's the house specialty. Yuri does something with the steak. Couldn't begin to recreate it myself, but there's a reason I don't step into other people's kitchens and fuss about." Quickly enough the woman returned with his bottle and an empty tumbler. Xavier took another hit off his cigarette and snuffed it out in the tray between the three of them while taking the shoulders of the bottle in his bandaged left. Slowly pulling the stop cap cork, he tilted the green triangular glass to let a perfectly measured double out into the tumbler, splashing against the inside of the glass. The bottle was given a slow turn as he lift it upright again, not spilling a single drop.
AnaliesesMemory: "I believe I have the right to be late as I walked here from my hotel." She snapped briskly at the man but with a low voice so as not to be over heard by others in the diner. She pressed her lips together and did not acknowledge the other man until the seat was drawn out and she was seated, using her legs to draw it back against the table. "I apologize ahead of time for coming mid-conversation. This fool invited me so please blame everything on him." The edges of her lips were pulled into a small smile. Why was she here again?
times revelation: That smirk remained in place, even as he sat back down, re-crossing feet one over the other beneath the table. "I know how old I am as well. There are very few left that know the truth of that little tidbit." The sunglasses had been pushed back over his eyes but that smirk remained. "Of course, it's always my fault..Although I didn't hop on a bus and ride cross country just because of a little teasing." Head tilt in her direction before he looked back to Xavier, lowering hands to adjust the sides of that gray jacket before he spoke again. "Since you are aware of that little bit of information. It would stand to reason that having known both my parents you know about them as well." Slight cant of head before he spoke again. "I've been looking for a bit of extra...training you could say."
Xavier Darnai: "That'd been the plan well prior to receiving permission." It was a short little statement to the woman as the bottle was set back down. Fingers swept away from the glass as he wrapped them around the tumbler, lifting it with a slow stir as he brought it up to his nose. All movement in the man stopped for a moment as rust red eyes stared at Karden. If the reaction to the nature of things earlier had been a tell, the look of vitriolic disapproval washed over Xavier's face was the equivalence of throwing the cards onto the table face up. "I already asked you what you wanted. You either had the nerve to lie to me about it the first time, or the utter lack've mental wherewithal to have your shite straight. What in bloody hell makes you think either of those is going to dispose me to the favor of helping you find the extra training you're after." The glass was tilted back quickly and he drained the tumbler entirely, setting it down on the table with a firm klak! Quickly, he lift the bottle once more and poured out another double.
AnaliesesMemory: A stiff crowd. She nodded meekly before leaning against her chairs back. Both hands were settled in her lap by the time the two began to converse on parents and training. She said nothing nor did much other than look between the two with a curious but withheld expression.
times revelation: Leaning back in his seat still hands shifted to rest across abdomen, lacing fingers together. "Actually, you are under the mistaken impression that what I seek is from you. I am actually here in Boston looking for someone else, but I can see how that would be misconstrued." Keeping hands against midsection he'd tilt head down slightly as he spoke. "I came here only as a courtesy to my parent's memory to speak with one they had considered a friend. As for being a lack wit? No, I just play one on television."
Xavier Darnai: "Take a lesson, kid." There was a specific emphasis on the way Karden was addressed. "When you spout out to people that you're looking for something, then they're likely to assume that you're talking to them. If it isn't something they need to help you with, you shouldn't bother with it. Don't actually talk if you don't have something to say. Your mother had a far higher opinion of our relationship than I did, and your father'n I were in the same room all've three bloody times." Lifting the glass, he gave a point at him with narrowed eyes. "Shame about your parents though, because someone ought to see about pulling your head out've your ass, and looks like there's no one left to do it." He muttered as he stood, finishing off the double again and turning the glass over, setting it up side down. Pulling his billfold out of his jacket, he slid them free and dropped them to the table to cover the cost of the bottle. "Call it hospitality if you like. Good luck finding whatever training you're apparently after that you didn't really need to see me about. Next time do us both the divine bloody favor of not bothering." Turning away, he headed for the door again, giving Natasha a nod on his way out.
times revelation: Being called Kid just rolled off his back, he was used to that. Still as Xavier got upset and went on his little rant that smirk never shifted from his lips. Seeing Xavier leave he'd just raise his hand and off a bit of a wave. "That, was easier than I thought it'd be." A faint chuckle before he looked over to Liese. "So, since you've come all the way here to Boston would you care to see the sights?" Already rising from his seat and reaching to take the bottle. Waste not want not right?
Xavier Darnai: Little irritates the man more than having his time wasted by an idiot. That's a sure way to get a rise out of him.
times revelation: Getting a rise out of Xavier was exactly the point of the visit, so it worked well.
AnaliesesMemory: Awkward moments like this made her not know what to do. These were the experiences her lack of historic memories failed to give her. She had looked away when Xavier stood up and headed out. The only thing that brought her attention back up from the table cloths design was Karden speaking to her calmly about going out to see the Boston views. "I suppose. You put me in a position that gave me little reasoning to be here other than to win the challenge." She glanced over her shoulder to trace the path the other man took. "Why did you invite me if you were only going to fight, and make me feel like a third wheel in a conversation I do not understand? "
times revelation: Holding onto the bottle of scotch in one hand he'd move around to offer Liese his arm after she stood up. "Maybe one day I'll explain." Head dipped and he arched a brow behind those sunglasses. "That, was not a fight. That was a task I was given and I accomplished it." Now he just had to go and give the information to the one that had asked him to do said task. "Coming? I promise to make up for what just happened."
AnaliesesMemory: She watched him. Lilac and blue eyes searching for emotions beyond what his words would tell. When he offered his arm, She stood up and took it in the nook of her own elbow. "You had better work damn hard to make up for it...oh..wait." The bill may be paid but the waitress needed a tip. Pausing, Liesa reached into the front of her dress to pull out a small wad of cash. She obviously wasn't carrying a purse and had seen other women do the same thing. Before they left, a five was left on the table for the waitress before they left the diner for another place in town.
times revelation: As she mentioned tipping he just shook head and chuckled a bit. "I doubt I will have to work that hard. You also realize you didn't have to hire the hound right?" Meaning riding the bus. Leading her out of the diner he'd keep hold of the bottle and head towards the right. On down the sidewalk they would go.
Xavier Darnai: Being back in Boston was a mixed sort of blessing. Glad to be in what was his home port for the time being, but disappointed that this was his home port, he made his way down the street towards the diner while rubbing at the bridge of his nose.
